Hi HAL, I sent you a PM because I would like to check out your prequel edits!
Hi HAL, I sent you a PM because I would like to check out your prequel edits!
I know this is a somewhat older thread, but can someone explain to me what is the obsession with having a digitally-created movie on 35MM? For older titles that were shot on film, I totally get it, but if it was digital to begin with, why the need to recreate the film feel, if that was never the intent in the first place? The Blu-Ray does a great job of showing the film as it was originally created, the only reason it was ever printed onto film for theaters back in 2004 was because of necessity. I’m not trying to down this project or anything, I’m just genuinely curious about why it matters so much.
It was never the intent to show The SpongeBob Movie on film in a theater? Pretty sure that’s why they made The SpongeBob Movie in the first place buddy
It is because this project is intended to show people how The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie how it looked back in 2004. On the 35mm prints and trailers, the colors were noticably different compared to the Blu-Ray, and the live action sequences were retimed for later home media releases, simply because the Blu-Ray and DVD releases were digitally transferred. Kind of like Toy Story when it first came out on 35mm and VHS.
can i have a link?
The first post in this thread has links to the site that has more info on the 4KXX projects.
Direct links could be provided, but it’s not that simple as there are multiple options for each film. If you do know which specific version you want (which film, dnr vs no-dnr, 1080v2160, version 1.0 vs 1.4 vs 1.6 vs 2.0 vs…), then maybe pm me.
If you are not sure, you might want to peruse the other forum to see what’s what.

PM for a 28 minute sample of what i have so far.

There was an edited version released on home video but it wasn’t the actual PG version seen in 1973.
A while back, I bought a copy of the 1996 PG rated VHS you mentioned, and there was nothing different from the other home video releases, except that the innuendos were toned down.
I got a VCD camrip, PM me if intrested

So where can I find this audio recording at? I would like to check it out!
Here is the link if anybody wants to check it out: https://www.ebay.com/itm/285786826685?itmmeta=01HT53YN8V0JD97S89B5QNCRA9&hash=item428a38e7bd:g:pfYAAOSwJ0RmBNdt&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwLGGd97e%2BJcyizw%2BdyaJRKfCvPFzsubeGhc%2BrR4eElIoX0T43WRndYLazdX9CN3ecASXyk3GtqD%2BSx5%2BGTi7a7r5R4L45SIQuMTzTloVdAnbTYH4NL6vh4IfNx%2BD1%2BDQBIz2bG9EJsiDY28eKsMDESsBD3baVZSbrxv6ceT4ncLSxxgkf2pK1%2F0yVAnIg7spZNCxTOX6g%2FB0C%2BTZsW3iT578Z9AFbR21%2FKEH%2FefSsyde0DzZEBulEhRv8SJOD34oTg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8LU-qPRYw
Yeah this auction is already being tracked. It seems to be a 1985? print from UK.
The worrisome thing is the talk of a weird bad cleaning, warping and residue.
I thought Blade Runner was released in 1982.

so weird and for some reason so popular: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skibidi_Toilet
I agree with you 100%. Most of the Skibidi Toilet fanbase is 4 year old kids that play on their parents phones. To me, Skibidi Toilet is just plain stupid. It should have never been made.
I haven’t been on this website much but 1.0 is ready for download, if anyone is interested in a download just PM me

So the original 1979 Alien had an extended cut apparently? I would like to see this extended cut if possible. Could you maybe send me a link?
I will never support Disney+ with my money, however I would consider purchasing the unaltered OT set on high definition physical media (even if I had to track down a used copy, because I have a grudge against that company for many reasons). Probably a pipe dream at this point…
I’m not AS big a purist on the prequels to care about those, but I would certainly support the preservation of the theatrical presentation of them too for those who want them (which are many people). Despite our love of fan edits, I’m sure there are plenty of fans out there (with cash in pocket) who are just weary of all the tinkering. We just want a high quality visual and audio presentation of the films we saw (yes, I said films, because Episode I was shot on film and although Episode II and III were shot on digital video, they were shown in most theaters around the world on celluloid since most theaters didn’t yet have an affordable option for digital).
And yes, yes, I know there is more than one “theatrical” presentation of each film, technically, but those small changes (like altered soundtrack, or one screen transition) can easily be incorporated into a physical disc via branching or alternate soundtracks vs. having to be a whole separate release that costs millions of dollars in additional investment to create.
I agree. I don’t want to waste my money on a streaming service when I can just buy a VHS, or DVD. Heck, I can also just get Harmy’s Despecialized Editions and Project 4K77 if I need to. It it highly unlikely that Disney will release the original, unaltered trilogy on Disney Plus or even physical media. All we need to do is just not give up hope, because we need to do all we can so that Disney can release the original versions.
It looks to be a UK VHS release of Star Wars from around 1984 or 1985. I don’t think it would be a copy of the Special Edition, since it has the original movie poster cover art.
Hi, I was recently scrolling through eBay, and I noticed that there was a 16mm CinemaScope print of Alien (1979) up for sale. The print looks to be slightly faded, but still in an ok condition. Here is the link if you want to check it out: https://www.ebay.com/itm/235488633967?itmmeta=01HSWF3BTYVFATDQKWCDMSBQ6K&hash=item36d437646f:g:vI4AAOSw8g1l~xMY&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwBUc1SWJsD2XxJLEu%2FeRyagc%2Fj2FT4miRm%2FHIeI4EYiCBCQ91RpfQ916PWc5phBcgKt9yUQZJBDHA6EDUbMTHnlswAOR%2BN4m2%2FVC4cJV11o81oeAZLcmPJfUciUBt045GL3zZw76EMhVSGdLUhKbdiW2ElCApJhm0hRtwljbNKOSqqGNlYUeYe76dytlNyTm8WZzvYW6oPFGOfbieIJXROywhlVCzLXHKZoA9KHknLy0mlJPGxGM6kNTHOko1%2BkMQg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8i9jY_PYw
I don’t believe that I have seen an International theatrical for sale. (If this is the INT and not the US of course.)
I remember seeing an original theatrical 35mm print of The Empire Strikes Back from the UK a while back on eBay. And also, keep in mind that there are many different versions of Blade Runner. The International theatrical versions were different than the US theatrical release, simply because the International versions had a few more violent scenes than the US release (which were restored for the 2007 Final Cut release). This could possibly be a print of the European theatrical version that is being sold.
Hi, I was scrolling through eBay recently, and I noticed that there is a 35mm print of Blade Runner up for sale. The print is from the UK, so I am guessing that it is an English dubbed copy. It looks to be in a good condition, too. So what is the current status on this project?
Hi guys, I was scrolling through eBay recently, and I noticed that there is a 35mm print of The Phantom Menace for sale. It has Russian dubbed sound, but it also has English DTS sound. Here is the link if you would like to check it out: https://www.ebay.com/itm/305401104335?itmmeta=01HRW3KFQVANH3PG09RWNRB3V5&hash=item471b5307cf:g:78EAAOSw0Jll2lOd&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8JoxxW7aSgPsdJzBEtohI4vKIxBx%2BuVYjfRrl4TUQD2UNWyM%2F%2BpKxrlyW6%2FHrBMkXO0mDRWzZm%2F2wgcYICse0HXYgkJ4rUlwM3PV7Q4uLUeJrRkE0O3qSbNT1p%2F5y%2FSveJTpkN9WdkELHtyzIE7FX4RPCi3RGho2ctGDMwibj9xanBd3eILndXX37JAAo7p%2FESfn5Os4hiYKT7ax8JSuv4DyeYnkknfPQXlhM8XNeasHSHo1ERU%2BxeacJQYfG0nCmw3imj0GEE6xwJ922gkN6t%2F2GeB18Kxq8ZDtcgboqOfFmP0JwPkjAvDy4FWYiW5%2F0g%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR4L8zYPHYw
Male.
There is no VHS release that excludes the title “A New Hope”. The only home release that has the actual theatrical version is the 2006 bonus disc.
I call it “Star Wars”, since that is what the film was called when it was first released theatrically. But for some people who don’t know what I am talking about, that is when I refer to it as “A New Hope”.
My preferred way of watching it is Harmy’s Despecialized Editions. About every once in a while I will watch the Special Editions.
Hi all, retrobeat originally shared the TV Version with me and requested that I share with anyone that wants it as he was looking to remove from his Drive.
Please PM me and I can supply a link to download.
